4 Days Later in Peñasco!

-by El Gitano Peñasco, "The Peñasco Gypsy"

Most people seem to want to sweep it under the rug or out the door and not discuss the continued drug related killings here, but it wasn’t even a full four days from last week’s “Depistolization in Peñasco” piece that I wrote before another “AK-47” attack (‘event’ for those who call wars ‘conflicts’, etc.) gunned down and killed Juan Antonio Rodriguez Nogales in PP.

Our prayers go out to his entire family and whether Juan was a tourist, as reported by the Arizona Daily Star (ADS), or someone ‘other’ than a tourist as is being ‘suggested and/or ‘implied’ in that ADS news story is not the issue.

The issue is that the war is here to stay. According to the ADS story the DEA is claiming that the “Sinoloan Cartel” set up shop in Peñasco back in “2007” (about four years ago) and that “their presence has increased the threat of shootouts or other violence that could affect tourists, though U.S. tourists are not specific targets.”

I’m saddened and sick to my stomach that this ‘war-of-choice’ is allowed to continue and I squarely place the blame not on the fiendish drug users ‘they’ want us all to think is crouched down under a lamp post somewhere, but instead on the (mostly) ignorant and clueless so-called ‘morality crusaders’ and the greedy bureaucrats and politicians who profit from and pander to ‘them’ on both sides of the ‘border’…

And speaking of the ‘morality crusaders’, in 1935 there was a propaganda sheet being distributed in the greater Chicago area that said, in part: “Marijuana is a powerful narcotic in which lurks Murder, Insanity, Death!

In truth, the ‘War On Drugs’ is a racist based scam perpetrated by old scared white men in the United States that got rolling 96 years ago with the passing of the 1914 “Harrison Narcotic Act”. It has been all downhill since, costing untold billions and billions of dollars (maybe trillions), destroying lives, incarcerating millions of otherwise good citizens…

For those who would like to know the real story about ‘drugs’, etc. Google “Grass: The history of…” and then Google that Harrison Act and then kick back, get some popcorn going and maybe play a little Dylan (‘everybody must get stoned') afterwards. And of course read a little about Jesus saying something about ‘let he who is without sin…’

And for you ‘morality-crusaders’: How’s that little 96-year druggie-war thing workin' out for ya?

¡Viva Puerto Peñasco y México!
