Gun Toting Sheriff Fears Puerto Peñasco!

-by El Gitano Peñasco, "The Peñasco Gypsy"

Just a few weeks back Pinal County Sheriff, Paul Babeu, again spoke out about the woes in Mexico and specifically stated: "I would never go to Rocky Point myself, and if any family member of mine was going to Rocky Point, I'd say please do not go to Rocky Point."

I am outraged that an ‘elected’ white male official from a small county in the USA that doesn’t even border Mexico is trying to use scare tactics for what I believe to primarily be for his long term political gains and ambitions.

As it so happens I am currently up north on business and during my first night in Phoenix a cop was gunned down in cold blood about a mile or so down the street from where I was staying that first night. (It wasn't an illegal immigrant who killed the officer, so you might not have heard about it...)

The next morning I was off to the greater Los Angles area, where I have been for a couple of weeks, and not one morning has gone by without the local L.A. TV news reporting a cold-blooded murder, including a 5-year-old who was gunned down at his home on Halloween while wearing his Halloween costume. And another police officer was murdered here, too. That's not even counting the daily reports of home invasions, car jackings, armed robberies and other violent crimes that occur daily.

But oddly Sheriff Paul (SP), as he likes to call himself (and his website too), seems to think traveling to Phoenix and L.A. is by all means 100% safe and would never think of warning “any family member” wanting to visit Phoenix or L.A. not to go!

SP truly owes the entire community of Puerto Peñasco a full blown apology and I urge anyone who lives in Pinal County (here, too) to write this “Honest… Independent…Accountable” pinche Gringo and demand that he get back in ‘print’ and on the ‘air’ and do just that!
