Los Cabos-based Anchor Storage, S de RL de CV has purchased Peñasco Security Storage, a self-storage facility in Puerto Peñasco. Located right on the main highway coming into town, just north of the old airport on the west side, the building still has the big "Penasco Security Storage" on the wall but that will change soon to "Anchor Storage."
The acquisition was made by Almacen’s wholly owned subsidiary, Almacen Storage-MX, S de RL de CV, a Mexican corporation. It will be operated under the brand name of another Almacen wholly owned Mexican subsidiary, Anchor Storage, S de RL de CV.
The facility will be getting a face lift and the new owners will be adding "Concierge Services". Storage will be available for everything from goods to cars, boats and RVs, and even space to display your items for sale or rent. Anchor Storage will also have document storage and several customized services.

This acquisition is the first for Almacen which has been developing and operating mini storage facilities in Mexican resort areas. “We are pleased with this first acquisition as we have been doing ground-up development in the past,” commented Almacen General Manager Ana Hulko. “This puts us ahead in adding a profitable facility to our growing network of storage locations.”
Peñasco Security Storage has been operating for nearly twenty years in Mexico and is the main facility for storage in the area, located on Highway 8 coming into Rocky Point.
