Adios Peñasco!
That’s right. El Gitano Peñasco has loaded up the old trustworthy Vardo and is, at this very moment, heading up north to get my last dose of ‘cold-country’ weather before the long, hot sweltering days and nights of our fair community rain down upon us all.
Not sure how many weeks I’ll be gone but am shooting to make it all the way to Fargo, North Dakota and bask one final time this year in some ‘cool’ weather.
Then I’ll head back south and join you all pool/beach side somewhere and while we fire up the B-B-Q and have some cold-ones we can ponder wondrous and down right ‘cosmic’ thoughts…
In the meantime, batten down those hatches and break out the fans, clean out those A/C filters and always remember that when you fill up those car gas tanks (and other fuel type tanks) always do it before it gets too warm.
As it turns out, in case you hadn’t heard, when ‘filling-up’ you actually get less fluids (fuel, gas etc.) and more ‘fumes’, etc. because of pressure, physics and all that ‘stuff’ so fill up only during the very early morning hours.
And while I’m on the road, if breaking news or anything happens of importance someone shoot me an e-mail and keep me posted, else upon my return I’ll have no choice but to place a curse on Peñasco and make this year’s summer splendor last two months longer than usual!
A Gypsy can always dream!
