A New Bar in Puerto Peñasco?

-by El Gitano Peñasco, "The Peñasco Gypsy"

Great, all we need in Peñasco is another cantina! But then again, maybe that is exactly what we need because when you think about it most of the watering holes here, IMHO, leave a lot to be desired!

Now I’m not talking about the typical Bar where you have the bored-out-of-their-minds ‘day-shift’ crew coming in getting ‘pounded’ only to be replaced by the late afternoon crowd followed by the late night drifters…

And no, I most assuredly am not talking about the kind of place that only opens on weekends or during those ‘special’ holidays that caters to middle-aged adolescent power drinkers or the young kids who come down here to do things they could never get by with back home.

Nope, we already have plenty of those places and the last thing Peñasco needs is another dark and dreary elbow-bending joint or a wanna-be type sports bar with a handful of mostly Gringos slamming down shooters and bragging about days gone by.

What I’m talking about is a place that is so damn alluring that locals and visitors alike would come to all the time just for the pure uniqueness, pleasure and ambiance. And I, the all seeing all knowing Gypsy, have come up with the perfect theme!

A place that is so unusual it would likely garner regional, national and international media attention and, to the best of my knowledge, there is not another like it anywhere on planet earth!

A ‘hot-spot’ that is so rare that the turistas would have no choice but to put it on their ‘must-do’ list and have a photo taken of themselves as proof they were there. But also a place that locals wanting an impressive place for business meetings would flock to as well.

Now all I need is an investor and I’ll have it up and running in no time!

A Gypsy can always dream!

¡Viva Puerto Peñasco y México!
